Matthew Sparacino is an actor, artist, writer and educator based in Washington, DC. He has been acting in the area for more than a decade and has performed in a wide variety of productions, including classics, world premieres, devised works, and new plays by DC-based playwrights.
Matt grew up in Germantown, Maryland, less than 30 miles from the nation's capital. He attended the University of Maryland in College Park and graduated with a BA in Theatre. Since then, Matt has been an active artist in the DC theatre community, performing in dozens of productions. He has appeared onstage with 1st Stage, the Keegan Theatre, Avant Bard Theatre, Chesapeake Shakespeare Company, Theatre Alliance, the Folger Theatre, Studio Theatre, African Continuum, Woolly Mammoth, and at the Source Festival, among others. He has also been fortunate to collaborate frequently with many fellow UMD alumni, including work with the Impressionable Players, Infinite Stage and Pointless Theatre, with whom he is a proud company member. Outside of the DMV, Matt's work has been seen at the NYC International Fringe Festival and at the Otoño Azul theatre festival in Argentina.
